Workpost Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

This terms of service agreement exists to protect Workpost and the users of Workpost sites and services. Most of the terms of the agreement is just common sense; we don't want users making false posts, spamming, swearing, posting racist and defamatory remarks, trying to hire hitmen or soliciting sex etc. Please read the user agreement and if you have any questions, contact us.

Workpost Terms of Service - 01/23/08

In order to use the Workpost.com site and other Workpost services you must agree to the following terms:

Workpost functions as a venue to connect people who want work done ("work posters") with people who want to do work ("work seekers"). As a third-party facilitator, Workpost LLC ("Workpost") is not directly involved in the interactions between work posters and work seekers and cannot control the truthfullness, accuracy or quality of work postings nor confirm or verify the qualifications, background or abilities of work seekers. As a Workpost user, you acknowledge that under no circumstances will Workpost be liable in any way for any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the your actions, the actions of other users and the use of any content posted, originating from, emailed from or otherwise made available by Workpost sites or services.

You acknowledge, represent and warrant that: (1) all information you provide to Workpost is true, accurate, current and complete, does not violate Workpost policies or these terms of service; and (2) will not infringe upon the third-party rights of others and will not cause injury to any person or entity.

By using Workpost and providing personal information, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage and use of your personal information by Workpost on servers located in the United States and elsewhere as described in our privacy policy.

Workpost LLC reserves the right to refuse, delete or remove any content available via Workpost sites or services for violating the letter or spirit of the Workpost Terms of Service or for any other reason.

You will not create posts containing vulgar, profane, abusive, racist or hateful language or expressions, epithets or slurs, text, inflammatory attacks of a personal, racial or religious nature. You will not post content that is defamatory, threatening, disparaging, maliciously inflammatory, false, misleading, fraudulent, inaccurate, containing gross exaggeration or unsubstantiated claims, violating the privacy rights of any third party, unreasonably harmful or offensive to any individual or community. Posts that are clearly erroneous, misleading, intentionally or repeatedly miscategorized, faked, containing spam, unsolicited sales pitches and annoying advertisments for products and services will be deleted as quickly as they can be indentified and flagged by users and site admninstrators.

Users who repeatedly violate the Workpost Terms of Service will have their posts removed and user accounts deleted.

You agree to not distribute spam, chain letters, scams, viruses or any other technologies that may harm Workpost, the interests and property of Workpost LLC and site users. You agree to use Workpost services in a respectful manner and to not impose an unreasonable load on site infrastructure or interfere with the operation of Workpost sites and services.

While Workpost LLC will make an effort to include the most accurate and up-to-date information, we make no warranties or representations as to the accuracy of the content and assume no liability or responsibility for any error or omission in the content. Workpost LLC does not represent or warrant that use of any content will not infringe rights of third parties. Workpost LLC assumes no responsibility for actions of third parties or for content provided or posted by others.

You agree not to decompile, reverse engineer, repurpose or disassemble any software, code or other products, property or processes of Workpost LLC, not to insert any code or product into the online application, posting system or manipulate the content of Workpost.com in any way that affects the site hosting, the accuracy of information or the quality of the site posting and searching abilities.

You agree not to use any data mining, data gathering or extraction method to gather information from the Workpost site and services.

Workpost LLC reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify or otherwise alter the Workpost Terms of Service at any time. Such modifications will become effective immediately upon the posting thereof.  Users are responsible for reviewing this agreement on a regular basis to keep informed of any changes.

Workpost Privacy Policy - 01/23/08

This privacy policy describes how Workpost will handle your personal information. We collect, use, and share personal information to help the Workpost website (“Workpost”) function and to keep site users protected.

Information posted on Workpost is generally available to the public. At this time, anyone can search our listings, but need to register a Workpost account to access user contact information or make posts. If you choose to provide us with personal information, you are consenting to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers and the various remote locations of our site users.

We collect and store the following required personal information: your email address, your workpost default location and a password. Optionally, we collect your first and last name, business name, phone number and your physical address or location, as well as any additional information users choose to provide. 

We also collect computer login data, statistics on page views, traffic to and from Workpost, advertisment information, user IP addresses, and other typical web site information.

We use personal information to provide Workpost services, troubleshoot the site, provide customer service, and in the operaton of our business.

We may use personal information to communicate marketing and promotional information to you, but recognize that sending our users this kind of information may result in users becoming annoyed and deleting their Workpost accounts.

We will not sell or rent users’ personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without users explicit consent. We may disclose personal information to respond to legal requirements, enforce our policies, respond to claims that a posting or other content violates site users and visitors rights, property, or safety.

We may also share personal information with law enforcement and corporate affiliates to help prevent potentially illegal actions.

Using Workpost Information:

You may use personal information gathered from Workpost only to contact other site users about specific postings, not to send spam or collect personal information from people who have not agreed to have their data collected.

Changing Your Personal Information:

You can view, modify or change your personal information by following the "account settings" or "preferences" links on the Workpost site and accessing your "account" page. The only field in your account you are not able to change is your Username. All of the other fields in your account may be modified at any time.

Security:

Workpost uses many standard and reasonable methods to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure, including encryption, passwords and professional hosting services, but the Internet is unpredictable and we make no guarantees the about the security of the personal information contained in your account.

As a rule, if you possess personal information you'd rather not have other people find, use common sense and think carefully before posting it on the Internet.

Workpost LLC may update this policy at any time, with updates taking effect after your next post, site visit, or after 30 days, whichever event happens first.

If we or our corporate affiliates are involved in a merger or acquisition, we may share personal information with another company, but this policy will continue to apply.
